time for our check up

Around here we like to say that going to the doctors is a good , because when we have ouchies they help get us better. And when we need to get shots is only for our own good. I think that as much as I have tried to tell my boys it's OK, they  kind of blow  it off and just scream there heads off when they know they have check ups coming up, or that day of the visit.
  So what we do whenever we get a chance is watch that doc mcstuffins cartoon, it's about a girl doctor who helps her toys feel better and gives them check ups when needed. Mind you we have only watched this show hand full of times, and they seem to enjoy the idea of going to the doctor. Yesterday was one of those days , and as we where approaching the medical offices, there were no screams, crying , throwing tantrums it was a good start. Haven says mom time for a check up, I thought I'd never here him say it so enthusiastic. The reality was that I was just going to drop off some forms to his doctor. But the idea that he's able to come to terms with his fear and dislike of the doctors is good. I mean there just aren't many kids who love going to the doctors, the cause them pain when they get shots , so ultimately it's kind of an instinctual thing.

There is progress and still things to work on, but for  now we'll just take things day by day . And here is a bit of havens doctor adventure.
